Courtney Martin is a Deputy District Attorney at the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office. Courtney began working on human trafficking cases in 2019. Under her tenure as the solo human trafficking prosecutor in Sacramento County, the yearly rate of successful human trafficking prosecutions tripled. She has secured felony convictions with prison sentences in over 100 cases involving human trafficking and exploitation, including 10 jury trials.
Courtney is an instructor for the POST-certified Robert Presley Institute of Criminal Investigation courses on human trafficking. She has presented at the California District Attorneys Association’s Human Trafficking Seminars, at the Human Trafficking Summit hosted by the Western States Information Network (WSIN), and at dozens of community events designed to bring attention to and educate about human trafficking.
